VideoProc Review: Rotate 4K Videos Easily and Losslessly

The video editing industry is flooded with many video editors, both free and premium versions. Most free video editing software is not very reliable when it comes to editing videos without negatively affecting their quality – after all, there is only so much you can get free. On the other hand, professionals are the target for most premium video editing software; hence, they are quite challenging before you can get even the simplest editing done.

Nevertheless, an app exists that is neither lousy at editing HD videos – despite being available free – nor complex to use. VideoProc is a fast lossless HD 4K video editor that’s available in free and premium versions. It’s lightweight – only 50MB – but the things it allows you to do to your messed up videos are amazing.

Crooked Videos

Video capturing devices are in plenty today and most of them record videos in HD. More often than not, people forget that they should hold the video recording device in a certain way, or they don’t know how to handle it properly to get an upright video. Consequently, when it comes to viewing the recorded video, they are surprised with an upside-down video or one that’s rotated 90 degrees.

In such cases, most people rely on standard free video editing software to rectify their mistake, but the result is disappointing because the rotated video is of a lower quality compared to the original.

Fixing Crooked Videos

However, using the free VideoProc version you can easily rotate 4K/MP4 video without negatively affecting its quality. You can also cut, split, or perform other edits and your video will come out pretty much the same way it went in.

This 4K video editor maintains the quality of your videos provided you don’t modify settings like video length, bit rate, frame rate and such. And if the quality was not as good as you expected, VideoProc allows you to improve it to make it more impressive. While retaining video quality, it employs Level-3 Hardware Acceleration technology to process video editing up to five times faster than standard video editors.

If you have a video somewhere that you recorded in the wrong angle and wish there was a way you could rotate it to a proper angle without affecting its excellent quality, here is how you can do it easily using VideoProc.

Step 1

Get the free version of VideoProc for either Windows or Mac. I’ll be using the Windows Version. Launch it and click the ‘Video’ button.

Step 2

On the new interface that shows up, click the ‘+Video’ button at the top to add videos to the software.

Once you’ve made your selection, the software will load the videos and present various editing options. Select ‘Rotate’. Another window (Edit Video) will show up.

Step 3

In the Edit Video window, you have various video editing options. You can check out the effects, subtitle, cut, crop, and watermark options later; our focus is on rotation.

You have various rotation options and they are straightforward. ‘Video Rotate’ will rotate your video 90 degrees left or right. ‘Video Flip’ will rotate the video vertically or horizontally.

While you make your rotation adjustments, the software will show a preview of the output on the right. Once you’re finished, click ‘Done’ at the bottom right. You’ll be taken back to the previous interface. Click ‘RUN’ at the bottom right and the rotation process will begin.

If you are looking for a software that will allow you to edit and rotate HD 4K/ 8K videos losslessly and easily, VideoProc will not disappoint you.
