WHAT COLORS TO USE FOR A BUSINESS CARD TO SELL FOR US?

The online environment has grown in recent times, the world becoming more and more absorbed by technology and the Internet. Nowadays, emails are an impressive way to contact your consumers; but when you are at an event where you can attract new customers and business partners, it is easiest to offer a business card, accompanied by eye contact and a brief conversation.

The business card represents you! It will tell all about you to a potential customer which is interested in your company, without having to introduce yourself. It is your first chance to make an impression on a potential consumer and it depends on you and the quality of the business card to be a positive first impression.

When you give a business card to a potential client, you want to impress and make them contact you as soon as possible for collaboration, right? Then create a memorable business card, with specific elements of your activity, that will offer more than just a phone number and an e-mail address. Also, you do not want your brand to be associated with the word “cheap”. For a remarkable business card that will attract new customers, you should not cut corners.

STATISTICS SHOW THAT POTENTIAL CLIENTS OR PARTNERS KEEP BUSINESS CARDS WITH A UNIQUE DESIGN 10 TIMES MORE THAN THE STANDARD ONES.

And then, why not choose to print them on special media, which will remove them from anonymity?! We can mention here: textured cardboard, recycled cardboard, sideboard cardboard. You can also opt for transparent business cards, printed on plastic, business cards with foil, or embossed writing. You can choose the material depending on the activity you carry out and what you want to express.

For example, if you are a company that deals with environmental protection, opt for business cards printed on recycled cardboard.

If you are organizing events, you might have to go for a soft cardboard, or you can opt for soft touch laminated business cards, which at the touch will surely attract the attention of the one you hand it to.

COLORS ALSO PLAY AN ESSENTIAL ROLE IN ACHIEVING A SUCCESSFUL DESIGN!

These create states or emotions and transmit various messages. In marketing, a good knowledge of colors can help us to support the written message with the visual one and in many cases, to influence the purchasing decisions.

The colors of a brand have a strong impact on the way consumers react when interacting with the brand. A common mistake in making a business card is the use of too many colors and elements.

A business card loaded with too many colors and unnecessary details transmit blurry signals and visually annoy the consumer – the human brain being set to find patterns, organize, and simplify information.

The simplest materials are appreciated, with a reduced number of colors.

CONTRAST IS ANOTHER IMPORTANT FACTOR!

When we watch TV, for example, and the contrast is disturbing to the eyes, we adjust it. In the case of a business card, this is impossible and the business card will reach the garbage.

As we said before, the design must be adapted to your company’s activity: while some businesses need to send a more cheerful message, using light, warm colors: pink, orange, blue, others convey seriousness, using in especially non-colors: black and white.

Although sometimes the color of business cards is an overlooked aspect, it is an essential one in terms of the message to be transmitted.

A white business card is a classic one, requested by most companies, but which, at the same time will not become interesting if there is no element to surprise and attract, such as a special logo or the color of the writing.

At the other pole is the black, which brings a note of elegance and sophistication; placed on a business card, may suggest power. Along with this color, a print of silver or gold works very well to perfect the elegance you want to convey.

Black and white are the classic and most widely used variants, but that doesn’t mean everyone should use them, so any other color can be used for an effective business card.

The cream or beige colors are also refined, elegant, and professional.

Avoid colors and pastels, such as pink, lavender or copper. These colors can distract attention from the professional image you strive to present.

However, if your company is one that uses color (probably if you are an artist or designer), then the freer use of colors and graphics may prove appropriate.

Similarly, if your company deals with children, toys, or sweets, the use of rainbow colors or other playful motifs can harmoniously blend with your brand and image.

The idea is to make the business card improve and complement your image, not to create confusion or distract.
