How to Recover Data from Your iOS Device with PhoneRescue

Phones became personal items the moment they allowed us to store in them virtually any digital item like contacts, images, audio, video, and documents among others. Most of the items people keep on their iPhones are of value to them in one way or another. People keep items on their phones because they are devices, they carry with them almost everywhere; therefore, they can retrieve files from them easily and quickly.

Nevertheless, the fact that people store important data in their iPhones means that if something were to happen to the phone or the data, it would be a disaster. Hence, it is important to always be prepared with a means of either backing up the data in a safe place where it can be retrieved easily, or finding a way of recovering lost data – if that ever happens.

It is careless to rely on your iPhone as a safe location for keeping your important files. The device may fail either due to technical issues (albeit rare) or human error (the common cause). It helps to think of the unthinkable and prepare for it. The thought of losing your precious videos, music, or important official documents stored in your device is not a pleasant one. Nonetheless, accidents happen and you’ll be in trouble without a backup plan.

Most iPhone users backup their data in the cloud (iCloud), iTunes, or other devices like their computers. It’s a smart move, but sometimes, misfortune may happen and you may lose valuable data before backing it up. For instance, a friend may accidentally delete the data, or you could do it, or your niece. These mistakes take place randomly and more often than you may realize.

Being in possession of software like PhoneRescue is one of the reliable backup plans you could have. This software not only enables you to recover backed up data from iCloud or iTunes, but it also enables you to get back any accidentally deleted data from your phone. If you think that’s not amazing, it can even revive a dead iPhone, enabling you to retrieve any data you are concerned about in case the phone misbehaves again in the future.

For example, to retrieve deleted photos using PhoneRescue, you simply launch the software and you’ll be presented with the startup window containing four main options to choose from:

  • Recover from iOS device
  • Recover from iTunes Backup
  • Recover from iCloud
  • iOS Repair Tools

Next, select the first option (Recover from an iOS device).

The software will scan your computer for connected iOS devices and connect to your phone. Afterward, it’ll display a window containing a selection of recoverable data types like contacts, photos, voicemail, etc.

At the bottom of that window, deselect “Select All” to uncheck all options. Select “Photos” under the “Media Data” section to limit the data recovery to images only. Click OK, and the software will scan your iPhone for all retrievable lost images. Once it’s done, it’ll display the results.

Finally, preview and select the images you would like to recover and click either the “recover To Device” button to save the recovered images on your iPhone or the “recover To Computer” button to save the recovered images on your computer. That’s it.

You can use the same procedure to recover any other lost files you would like to retrieve from your iPhone.

PhoneRescue works with iPhones, iPads, and iPods; and it is compatible with:

  • Windows OS, from Windows XP and higher
  • Mac OS Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, OS X 10.11, 10. 10, 10.9, 0.8
  • iOS 12, iOS 11, iOS 10, iOS 9, iOS 8, iOS 7, iOS 6, iOS 5

You can see that having a backup plan like PhoneRescue is a good idea for giving yourself peace of mind, knowing that no matter what happens to your iPhone or the data in it, you won’t necessarily lose anything.
