Massachusetts is the most populous state of the New England region and visitors have numerous positive reasons to travel to Massachusetts. Be it an incredible city of Boston or world’s best university, MIT. Massachusetts is a state the delivers quality in everything you ask for. No wonder the cities like Boston, Cambridge, Plymouth and Worcester are amazing cities with some incredible top tourist attractions. However, sometimes we get so tired and exhaust with city’s life that we naturally ask for a place that is more silent, calm and close to nature. We desire to release our stress and regain our mental clarity by visiting a place that is more like a modern village with some natural tourist attractions. Such places have cleaner atmosphere, healthy life, organic fruits and vegetable and life is more manual like old times. Fortunately Massachusetts has some amazing few small towns but Sturbridge meets the most of mentioned desire. Sturbridge is the combination of modern convenience and historical charm. This is a small town with enough glamour to make it a tourist destination. This modern town still has horse carriages for public and it is amazing to ride into them.

Old Sturbridge Village is the major and most visited tourist destination of Sturbridge. It is a living history museum that describes life in early 19th century and it is the largest outdoor history museum in Northeast. Village consists of more than 40 historic and original buildings consists of homes, district school, stores, bank, working farm and trade shops. Immerse yourself in Village in any way you want.

Wells State Park is recreation area you may want to visit for a combination of nature and healthy activities. Established in 1968, this is a massive park that covers an area of 1400 acres. The activities this park has to offer might consume your whole as the only trail for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing is 12 miles long. Wells State Park also has a pond located on 104 acres and it provides the opportunity for boating and fishing.

Sturbridge Flea Market is another popular destination where tourists as well as locals frequently visit to shop or just observe the beauty of market. These 3 levels huge market has more than 150 dealers and it deals in furniture, collectibles, coins, sports, gold, silver, diamond and many more unique items.

While there are few tourist attractions including couple of parks, village and recreation areas, you also need a perfect place to stay.
