Top Cities for Singles [Infographic]

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, those who are flying solo might be wondering where all the eligible bachelors and bachelorettes are hiding on this most romantic of holidays.

Thanks to the research team at Zillow, we don't have to wonder any longer. The team compiled data on all major metros with populations over 250,000 and calculated:

  • The percentage of single residents living within the city limits.
  • The percentage of new single residents that relocated to the city within the last year.
  • The median disposable income (average income minus average rent).
  • Potential date spots per 10,000 residents (cafes, bars, restaurants, etc.).

After all the calculations were made, these are the top cities for singles in America for 2015.

  1. Washington, DC
  2. Atlanta, GA
  3. Boston, MA
  4. St. Louis, MO
  5. Denver, CO
  6. Pittsburgh, PA
  7. Minneapolis, MN
  8. Nashville, TN
  9. San Francisco, CA
  10. Raleigh, NC

No surprise that major metros like Washington, DC, Boston, and San Francisco made the list. Other major cities like Los Angeles, New York and Chicago were left out and lesser known cities like Raleigh, Minneapolis and St. Louis were included.
