‘Taki Taki’ Rules at No.1 on World Top 40 Music Chart

Dj Snake, Cardi B, Ozuna & Selena Gomez’s ‘Taki Taki’ reaches the top of World Music Chart according to Popnable. The chart measures most viewed music videos from 100+ countries all over the world, on weekly basis.

American music is still preferred

Most watched music video for the period of 12/10/2018 to 18/10/2018 is “’Taki Taki‘”. The entry debuts on the first place, after it gains 67 million views during the week, which is 16 million more than the result of last week’ winner – “Girls Like You”. American singer Cardi B get involved in both songs.

Ozuna, the Puerto Rican rapper, participates in two songs in the top ten – aside from “Taki, Taki”, his video “Vaina Loca” is placed at No.4. “Vaina Loca” points 2 positions up and 33.6 million views.

Australian song “Thunderclouds” turns back in top 40, receiving 5 positions rise, and 12.9 million views. It is the 7th time of taking part in the world chart for the video.

Number eight belongs to the British singer Ed Sheeran. His single “Perfect” stays in the ranking for the 48 total week, collected 23.7 million weekly views.

Coming in at number 34, and leap with 48 positions from last week, we have ‘Skibidi’ by Little Big – it is the only Russian song in top 40, kept two weeks on, with 13.9M views.

We have to note ‘Shallow’, the newest single by Lady Gaga, which No.21 coming after 30 positions up, comparing with the previous week. This is the 3rd appearance in the ranking.

‘Quiere Beber’ by Anuel Aa, climbs to No.11 after it moved up with 23 spots. As you may know, Anuel Aa is Puerto Rican rapper who was arrested and held on April 3, 2016, with three companions when police found three pistols including one stolen, nine clips, and 152 bullets.

Moving onto No.14, where we find another Latin song but from Colombia. “Ya No Tiene Novio” by Sebastián Yatra, Mau & Ricky jumped 19 positions after 10 weeks in the chart. It’s not a record-break for the week, with the same number of positions up, ‘Clandestino’ by Maluma & Shakira reaches No.36. It received 13.8M views throughout the week.

Egypt broke through top ten for first time ever

This week is the first for 4 total videos. The highest result of debuting songs comes from the Egyptian artist – Amr Diab. He starts in the chart under No.5 with “Bahebak Ana” which gains 24.9 million views.

Other brand new single is “Nikle Currant” by Neha Kakkar & Jassi Gill from India (placed on No.30). On the number 39 is ‘Disk Me’ performed by Brazilian singer and drag queen, Pabllo Vittar (13M views).

‘Moonlight’ by Xxxtentacion loses 16 positions and moved to No.19, an entry possess two total weeks in the world chart with 17.4M views. Brazilian ‘Sou Favela’ by Mc Bruninho, falls off to No.27, after it drops with 11, during the last seven days. ‘No Me Acuerdo’ by Thalía and Natti Natasha rolls of at No.23 (10 positions drop) after 20 weeks in the chart.

“Venom” by Eminem bounds fastly

Onto the top 3 and we’ve got Eminem with ‘Venom’ increasing the number of weekly views to 44.2 million. He noted a growth with 20 million views comparing with the previous week. It is the 2nd week for the “Venom” in the chart.

K-pop band Blackpink grabs No.37 with the song “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du”. The korean video has been watched 13.5 million times on YouTube. On an average basis, “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” loses up to 1M views every week. Speaking about the Asian culture, this is long-stayed video, kept 18 weeks in top 40.

“Despacito” generates a huge number of views

Four videos stay in the ranking for more than a year: “Faded” by Alan Walker (143 weeks) at No.22, “Despacito” sung by Daddy Yankee & Luis Fonsi (91 weeks) at No.6, “Something Just Like This” by The Chainsmokers & Coldplay (86 weeks) at No.33, “Déjala Que Vuelva” from Piso 21 & Manuel Turizo (52 weeks) at No.32.
