- Wonderfruit Festival
For three days a year in the middle of December, the Pattaya Field Siam Country Club turns into a full blown arts festival with structures made of bamboo, much like Burning Man. During the day, there are activities promoting healthy living and respect for the environment while the nights are filled with performances by a myriad of acts including regional and international artists.
- Zoukout Singapore
Zoukout is Singapore’s largest EDM dance party and is held at Siloso Beach on Sentosa Island around November to December. This beach party lasts for 12 hours, from sunset to sunrise. Almost 30,000 people go Siloso Beach, making it the biggest outdoor dance floor in the region. The music is often headlined by big names in the DJ-ing scene. Names like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Galantis, W & W , Ghetto and Nash D are slated to be playing this year for the 2018 event.
- Quest Festival
The Quest Festival has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Held at Son Tinh camp towards the end of the year, it attracts international visitors from all over the world who want to have a music festival that feels rustic and close to nature. In essence, that is exactly what the Quest festival is. In addition to a line of more than 50 performing artists, participants also get to enjoy various workshops and contribute to the many eco-friendly programs organized on the camp grounds.
- Bestival Bali
Bestival is a chance for fans of Balinese culture to celebrate art and music on the island’s own artistic park, known as the Garuda Wisnu Kencana. For two nights a year, the central courtyard of this park will be transformed into a night of music and dance. Apart from modern acts, participants will also be able to witness local cultural dance performances including the Barong and Kechak dances. These dances will be performed by the park’s resident performers themselves as a prelude to the night’s festivities.
- Neverland Manila
Neverland is one of the biggest EDM parties in Manila and the organizers just pull out all the stops. You can look forward to heart-thumping music, fireworks, a whole lot of lazer lights, smoke guns and even water cannons as part of the show.
- Rainforest World Music Festival Kuching
For several days in July every year, performers from all over the world gather at Kuching, Sarawak for the Rainforest World Music Festival. They all specialize in heritage related music and art, which makes this event one of the most significant showcases of traditional performing arts in the world. One of the most significant event within the festival would be the dance performances of the local indigenous tribes, as well as the performances with traditional ethnic instruments.
There are also plenty of activities for participants to mingle and learn each others’ culture and heritage. The Rainforest World Music Festival a must-go for those interested in foreign cultures and arts.
- The Java Jazz Festival
Every year in March, Jazz fans from all over the world descend on the Jakarta International Expo for several days of quality jazz music. Performers come from every corner of the world, and they represent all the genres of jazz available, including smooth jazz, swing, bebop and acid jazz.
