You need to prepare:

  • Peanut oil – 1 tbsp
  • Lean lamb stew meat – 2 pounds
  • Onion – 3 1/4 cups
  • Carrot – 1 cup
  • Green bell pepper – 1 cup
  • Ground cumin – 2 tbsp
  • Curry powder – 1 tsp
  • Ground turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Tomato – 4 cups
  • Sweet potato – 2 cups
  • Chickpeas
  • Chicken broth – 14 1/2-ounce
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1/4 tsp


Heat oil at first and add the lamb. Later cook for 5 minutes and add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, carrot, ground cumin, ground turmeric and curry powder.
