Natural Ingredients That Really Whiten Skin

shutterstock_75079174Although there are a number of chemicals available in the market that help with the process of pigmentation and whiten the skin color, but all these chemicals come with some side-effects; and in some severe cases, instead of whitening your skin color, these chemicals can make your skin darker by reacting with the UV rays. So, it is better to rely on the natural ingredients for inhibiting the pigmentation process of the skin. Natural ingredients are not only effective but they are also safe, for they come with no side effects whatsoever.

We have prepared a list of 8 natural ingredients that can be used to whiten the skin color.

1. Lemon Extracts
Lemon extracts work as bleach and lessen the dark spots of the skin. Moreover, it contains Vitamin C. Vitamin C not only improves the production process of collagen but it also makes the skin elastic and firmer. Lemon extract also contains oxidizing powers; it makes the skin smoother by moisturizing it.

Do not apply pure lemon extract onto the skin; add equal amount of water in lemon juice, mix it thoroughly and then apply the mixture onto your skin. Leave it there for at least 10 minutes, and after that, rinse your face with normal temperature water. Repeat this process twice a day in order to achieve the maximum results.

2. Yogurt Mask
Yogurt also has some amazing bleaching powers. Moreover, it is also very effective in reducing and lessening acne spots. Make a honey yogurt mask and apply it after every few days in order to achieve the desired effects.
Add two spoons of yogurt in a cup together with one spoon of honey and one spoon of cooked oatmeal. Mix all three products effectively in order to make a thick paste. Apply the paste onto your face- leaving the eye areas- and wait for the mask to dry. Once, the mask is dried, rinse your face with cold water.
Keep in mind that an excess of anything is bad; do not apply too much yogurt on your face as it will make your skin drier.

3. Almond extracts
Almond extracts contain Vitamin E, and Vitamin E is known for making the skin smoother. Crush some almonds into a cup of milk (non fat). Stir the mixture until you get a paste. Apply the paste on your face for at least 10 minutes. You will get a firmer skin after the application of almond paste.

4. Kojic Acid
This acid is extracted from a fungus that is found in the Asian region of the world. Kojic acid is known for its inhibiting properties. The acid inhibits the process of pigmentation by reducing the production of melanin- a brown pigment that gives the skin its natural color- and consequently improves the skin color.

5. Aloe Vera
This product can be used both on acne skin as well as a sub burned skin. Aloe Vera is known for its anti-septic and cooling effects. An application of this ingredient onto your skin will not only improve the color of your skin, but it will also make your acne and sun burn spots go away.

6. Use of Eggs
Application of eggs onto your skin does not only whiten the skin color but it also moisturizes the skin. In order to make a paste, separate the egg yolk from its white. Stir the white until it gets the texture of a paste. Apply the paste onto your neck and face areas, and leave it to dry. Once the paste has dried off, wash your face and neck with lukewarm water. You will get a moisturized and lighter color skin.

7. Bearberry extract
Bearberry extract is also known for its whitening properties. However, keep in mind that the juice is not extracted from the fruit itself rather it is dug from the plant. Bearberry extract contains Alpha Arbuti, which is known for its skin lightening effects.

8. White Mulberry extract
This extract has a number of benefits, which also include whitening of the skin color. This extract slows down the tyrosinase enzyme; tyrosinase produces melanin, the brown pigment of the skin. This extract also keeps the cholesterol level of the body under control, an added benefit of the product.
