The new 2014 Crystal Collection presents a new take on three of Nixon's most popular models - the 42-20 Chrono, the Monopoly and the Kensington. Each of these three evergreen Nixon watches has its own specific beauty and feel, and these are now viewed from a different angle with the new color scheme and the use of Swarovski elements in the feminine and gentle rose color. The 42-20 Chrono
The 42-20 Chrono has a 42mm wide case made out of solid stainless steel with a unidirectional rotating bezel. In the new model from the 2014 Crystal Collection, the finish is in a polished silver tone and the bezel is embellished with 35 square-cut rose-tone Swarovski crystals. The dial is protected by a hardened mineral crystal glass. The crown of the 42-20 Chrono is on the left side - just beside the 9 o'clock position. The model runs on a Japanese quartz Miyota movement and has the impressive water resistance of 20 ATM (200 meter). The dial is white in color and features rose-tone hour indices in bold Arabic numerals and baton markers and a rose-tone second hand that perfectly match the color of the crystals on the bezel. The dial has silver-tone hour and minute hands with luminous inserts, three sub dials with a white and rose color scheme and a small date window at 6 o'clock. The model is completed by a 21mm wide 3-link bracelet made out of solid silver-polished stainless steel and a double safety clasp. The 2014 Crystal 42-20 Chrono is expected to cost around 500 Euro.
The Monopoly
The Monopoly is another one of the timeless models of Nixon watches. The new 2014 Crystal take on the model features a 40mm wide solid stainless-steel case with a polished silver-tone finish and a fixed bezel in a rose gold tone, embossed with small transparent circular-cut Swarovski crystals. The crown has black enamel fill featuring the Nixon logo. The watch can boast of 10 ATM water resistance and 3-hand Japanese quartz Miyota movement. The rose-tone color scheme is extended to the dial too - the hands, the Arabic numeral indices, the brand name and the water resistance indication - 100M - are in the same color, set on a white dual-level dial. The rim of the circular-shaped date window at 6 o'clock is also in a rose gold tone. The Crystal Monopoly is supported by a 20mm wide 5-link bracelet in a polished silver tone closed with a double safety clasp which allows length adjustment. The model will retail for around 250 Euro.
The Kensington
The Kensington is Nixon's triumph of minimalistic beauty! The new Kensington model from the 2014 Crystal Collection has a 37mm wide silver-tone stainless-steel case and a dial window made out of hardened mineral. The rose gold theme in this particular model is featured on its dial - the elegant white dial has three custom molded rose-gold-tone hands, the Nixon brand name and thin stick hour markers in the same color. Each hour marker is completed by two circular-cut rose-tone Swarovski crystals that form two concentric circles near the outer rim of the dial. The crown, like with the Monopoly model, has black enamel fill with the Nixon logo. The watch has a 5 ATM water resistance capability and Miyota movement and it is a masterpiece of minimalistic design. The strap of the Kensington is 16mm wide with a polished silver-tone finish and a safety clasp featuring the Nixon logo. The price of the 2014 Crystal Kensington will be around 150 Euro.
