Conspiracy theories: From apocalypse to paranoia

If until some time ago we were bombarded with news about an imminent apocalypse: comets, earthquakes, solar storms, famine, etc., now things are taking a different turn. It was normal, as with any overused method, that the threat of the apocalypse would fall into disrepair. Stop it, you don’t care about the people anymore. As a result, another method had to be pulled out of the drawer, also a great novelty:conspiracy.

There is still too little presence in the televised media, but it is on the rise in the electronic media. Dozens and dozens of elucidating sites and thousands and thousands of unconscious sharers. Without any kind of discernment, conspiracy theories are propagated and distributed in the virtual universe: poisoning by vaccination, extermination by food, and destruction by drugs. Practically everything that surrounds us is the result of diabolical minds working together to kill us.

Interestingly, they are all built, just like paranoia, on elements from reality, which only gives them a certain credibility, thus increasing their impact. And the net consumer bites, without discernment, from the poisoned apple of the conspiracy.

Here are some of the most frequently promoted:

The vaccine (vaccination) theory: promotes the idea that vaccines are destructive, that they do more harm than good, and, above all – this is what I like the most – that they use aluminum as a perverse weapon of mass destruction.

Reality: ANY substance can have side effects, depending on a lot of other elements (many of them uncontrollable). There are indeed cases where a vaccine has bad effects.

Fact: but it is equally true that vaccines have eradicated diseases that once wiped out entire civilizations (smallpox and the Spanish flu) and continue to do so, otherwise our children would be sick of polio or lying in bed for life, patients with meningitis or hepatitis B.

Handling: if aluminum, found in tiny amounts in vaccines, is responsible for extermination, why is no one talking about the ubiquitous aluminum foil, about the deodorant-antiperspirants that are amust-have for every individual who doesn’t want to stink, about the wonderful pots of cooked from which if you scrape an omelet you swallow more aluminum than in six vaccines?

The theory of impoverishment of the population through the use of drugs: ooo, here the debate explodes. The bastards from the pharmaceutical industry stay up at night and plot what to serve us for breakfast so that we crack faster.

Reality: yes, it’s true, there are a lot of products delivered as saviors as givers of health and eternal youth, proof of the new generation of food supplements (?!?), diseases are invented so that corresponding medicines/treatments are invented. Advertisements for the same substance made in different ways and with different names flood the televisions. But who makes you put under your nose without discernment all the nonsense? Since when did the pharmacist (representative of the industry you just cursed) become more important than the doctor, and the Internet and self-medication are the mother of all…sick people?!

I challenge anyone to treat a staphylococcal infection without antibiotics, a fever of 40 degrees without an anthemic, diabetes without insulin, or schizophrenia without an antipsychotic…

Fact: modern medicine has managed to extend the individual’s life by tens and tens of years, it is not by chance that the elderly population is increasing in number.

And the one that is most “dear” to me isthe Population Reduction Theory. It seems that this is the most attractive for commentators because it is found, more or less, in all the others. Somehow, world leaders are trying to “free up the place” so that only they are walking around with their SUVs and yachts.

The truth: it is quite clear, to anyone, that at the moment when, in order to support the population of the globe, we already need another planet, something is not right.

Fact: the population is continuously growing and it seems that it will not stop anytime soon. Caught between the desire for greater gains and the shrinking mass that produces these gains, the world’s greatest will find it difficult to make a decision too soon. And, more than that, as we see, it is impossible for them to agree even in relatively simpler situations than the complicated decimation of the world’s population.

The discussions for or against these theories matter less. In fact, this is not the purpose of this article. What matters is that the “conspiracy theory” is a powerful tool of control and manipulation, which, like apocalypses, produces a dangerous effect:a continuous state of fear, the feeling of being constantly watched, and threatened, causing a true paranoia. The perverse element is that they have a greater degree of elaboration because they are built on the basis of reality so they are difficult to fight and easy to support. I remember the case of a patient with paranoia who described to me in great detail how a white car with the number X appeared every day, between certain hours, in front of his house, and a mustachioed man followed him over the fence. For the patient, it was less important that he was the next-door neighbor…

And the saddest thing is that this “Conspiracy Theory” is the tool used most of the time to get the audience, “shares” and “likes” as much as possible, because no, fear impresses. It is in each of us, naturally, and therefore, it can be used successfully.

So, when you see articles or news about conspiracy theories, think carefully before you believe or share them because you will do nothing but spread FEAR!
