1. Know what you are talking about

6. Open yourself to suggestions
Despite all their years of hands-on experience, teachers also keep picking things along the way just like their students. Each individual's exposure to the environment is unique and having to share them with others around us, we can learn to lead a more righteous path.
With that being said, mentors must also be inviting of their student's suggestions and views whenever they can. This creates a mutual sense of trust that blossoms into a strong and healthy relationship with one another.
7. Share your experience with the class
While it is rather one-sided to have the entire session focused on your personal issues, it is alright to share some of your experiences with the rest of the class. It will help relate to the issues of your mentees and will solidify your connection with them as well.
