Motor Yacht Chasseur: Luxury on the high seas

Luxury on the high seas

Designed by Christensen Shipyards (most famous for designing a luxury yacht for legendary golfer Tiger Woods), the Motor Yacht Chasseur is a state of the art, 160 meter-long luxury yacht bursting with every possible modern accessory. For example, every bedroom (or ‘stateroom’, per the website) contains a fifty inch LCD TV with a DVD player, satellite link (so you can keep up with House of Cards while you’re at sea) and home cinema surround sound system. All of the above can also be found in the Main Saloon and Skylounge. It is, in short, the kind of yacht that you could happily live on.

The yacht is currently owned by Don Burns, who currently serves as a Board Member for magicJack VocalTec Ltd. After a long career at the innovative edge of the telecommunications industry, it’s no wonder he now likes to spend some time relaxing, and Motor Yacht Chasseur provides every opportunity to do so. In addition to its extensive audiovisual capabilities, the yacht features an enormous Jacuzzi, several bars (both inside and out) and a range of dining areas for all occasions - and all weather conditions.

The yacht has several stories, all linked by a large spiral staircase in the center of the boat, as well as several smaller staircases at the aft and stern for maximum ease of access to all the ship’s areas. In addition to its numerous staterooms (complete with en-suite bathrooms), the ship also has five two-berth cabins for up to ten crew to pilot the ship, clean and tidy the living areas, and prepare and serve food. Its interior design, specified by owner Don Burns, focuses on tasteful luxuriousness, teak, silk, onyx and crystal agate being some of the materials of choice for both furnishings and decorations.

The three exterior decks provide numerous areas for relaxing, dining and entertainment. The Sun Deck boasts the aforementioned Jacuzzi and an adjacent bar and lounge area. At the aft, another deck has a seating and bar area, while for dining, the bridge deck offers two different outdoor dining areas and yet another lounge area.

According to analysts of the sector, the number of potential customers is around 3,000. In the coming years the number of billionaires should increase by 200-300 per year, further strengthening the target of Rodriguez, recently wrote the analyst of the brokerage firm Oddo-Pinatton Equities.

In addition to the maintenance and management services, the company is also responsible for the decoration, responding to customer wildest desires: walls hung with Hermes or Versace fabrics, Baccarat services, linens embroidered with the owner of the weapons.

When Don Burns, the owner of the yacht, is feeling more adventurous, he can turn to the tenders and toys that come with the yacht: Two dinghies, a jet ski, a kayak and a range of water skiing and snorkeling equipment. The yacht also has room for a helipad but unfortunately a helicopter is not included in the standard equipment list.

With a range of over 4,000 nautical miles on a full tank, the yacht could take you across the Atlantic at even if its widest point, with a few hundred miles to spare. In other words, the sense of freedom of the high seas is brought to life again by Motor Yacht Chasseur.
